CASA Magazines is launching a collage club. The first in a series of workshops from CASA and collage artist Francesca Maida is on Aug. 5. The Instagram announcement emphasized the workshop as a way to get offline: “Join us for an unplugged evening of analog art-making, magazine love, and creative camaraderie.” I’ve been to collage clubs at three different locations: ReCreate Collective, ThirdSpace, and Haricot Vert’s craftnook, which I mentioned when I wrote about offline clubs. I was surprised at just how helpful going through old magazines was helpful to my own creative process and sparking inspiration for things to write about.
